O cool. That is your face? I thought it was a man's face, I swear I see a mustache there! Guess you have more demons in your head than I thought... I like the diagonal lines of the stairs, just the right perspective to make the railing continue the white on the wall. The hoop makes the composition complete. Don't know why - but if I try to imagine the pic without, something would be lacking. Looks like you're hiding your face in shame, or dejection.
I feel like I'm getting back in touch with your photos :]
Yes i see
Bellmer is the kind of artist which haunts us after discover him. I remember the first time when I saw a work of him it was in the museum Pompidou, his girl's sculpture with two pairs of legs and a trunk in the middle, it really marked me...
You should pick up a bio on him if you ever get the chance. He got a hideous rap as a misogynist in the 70's and it really wasn't true. He started making his first dolls with the love of his life, his first wife, who became deathly ill at a young age and he took care of her until her early death. The twinning, and the combination of feet at both ends was a desire to be inextricably entwined with that which he was losing.
It is me. I was not comfortable in my initial pose so I dropped my head shortly into the exposure. I am surprised it recorded at all but I rather like it.
With perhaps one or two exceptions, and certainly in the past year I am the only model. I am the only person in this house.
...they absolutely do; this one is particularly haunting, with both a childlike and vintage quality to the pose and surrounding, respectively; do you have photos similarly placed or hidden around most of your house?
