Artist's Comments

As I watched the image come up in the developer, I could not help but be reminded of the day the rabbit ears came in for what was to be their last formal sitting. The were drunk, as usual, so I propped them up against the arm of the chair. It was a long exposure and I did not notice that at some point between pulling the slide and replacing it the rabbit ears had expired. In the chaos that followed it was not until the coroner had come and gone, and the last wail of the ambulance siren trailed off in the distance that I realized the film was missing. I assumed it stolen and looked from time to time on the internet to no avail.
It was not until this afternoon after I went dark to soup the first film of the new year that I noticed a holder with both sides turned black mixed in with the empties.
I was relieved to see, upon close examination of the print, the slightest flutter of movement in the fur

I think this is my favorite pictures of yours so far. I love the simplicity, it seems to convey a much more natural feel.

I'm glad I found it. The film really was lost and re-discovered yesterday.

I love the simplicity too, it really outstands your other works, not that it means or says more because it is "simple", not at all. But it sure tells a story. Which I'd loved to read too.

Lately I find myself leaning more towards writing the story, which means another book is in the works in my mind.
