year's end 2009-recalculate by lauren-rabbit year's end 2009-recalculate by lauren-rabbit
A full year passed and all I did was turn around.
I had to redo the math:
4 birthdays
3 2/3 years
44 months
1377 days
33,048 hours
1,982,880 minutes
118,972,800 seconds

This is the first time my year's end picture has referenced the year's past.

I love the composition itself. And the way you managed shadows and lights to create a calm, distant depth (that's what I feel looking at the photo).

REgarding the author's comment... well It's better I try not to understand ;-)

Brava!

This was prefaced by year's end 2008-Inside (where the page wall originated) and only today did I complete the endpiece year's end 2010-recapitulate which I will post in a day or so. They work well together I think, and complete the circle.

uhm, I looked after it in your gallery, and I found other fantastic pieces. Were you referring to year's end 08 - Time counts?

Let me know. Waiting for your 20010- recapitulate. I can't wait to see it! :icontanchanplz:

That's the one. I have a tendency to refer to my pictures by titles that are just personal to me as well as their public names. I should probably stop doing that. :)
2010 is going up later today. I'm hitting the darkroom this morning.

NO, don't stop ^^

It's a nice thing. In my opinion.
If you want people to go directly to the deviation, simply add a link!

Wow! I'll wait for it in my incoming deviations, so!

Good work!

a decade gone in the blink of an eye. All for the better I think. Happy New Year! (2 hours, 5.5 minutes)

Happy New Year to you as well. I hope to hit the ground running in 2010.
And not because I am being chased.

I'm sure you'll be doing the chasing. Don't tell me you have it rigged to push your shutter release the second the decade starts...:)

No. I've closed out the year. The new direction will present itself when it is ready.
There are other reasons to run.

Then cheers to another end and to new beginnings, whenever they come about.
As long as you have somewhere to hide...

In memory perhaps, but memory is faulty, so the truest part is always gone.
